What is the Faraday Future?!

The Faraday Future is one of the FASTEST all electric SUV's on the planet. 0 - 60 in 2.39 seconds. For more specs on The FF 91 Click HERE: ev.ff.com/2qDbBeT
Electric cars are the future. And competition in the all electric self driving car market is good for everyone, including the planet. Come hang out with me while I take the Faraday Future FF91 out for a test drive and see what kind of power it has hidden under its hood.
The sound you hear in the background are some BMW's doing doughnuts in a parking lot. (CES is a weird place)

It look like a cool car. But there is some major issues. 1. They havent build the factory... So how are they going to produce the car? 2. A lot of their key employees did not w want to work with them anymore and that is a very big problem. 3. When they unveiled the car, the cars doors did not open. And instead of saying it to the people watching they made a guy run into the car while the lights were off. Not a good start.

It's great to see these startups (yes including Tesla) complete. It's not about Faraday beating Tesla, or Tesla beating Faraday, because it's not like in 50 years time there will only be the brand that wins on every street. What everything is about is getting the big car manufacturers with experience at building safe high quality vehicles, to commit to building electric cars. Volvo is a great pioneer in that direction and others also seem to follow. That's going to be the actual cornerstone. And every time people say Faraday sucks or Tesla sucks more, and whatnot, the big oil tycoons clap their hands, because that means electric is still an uncertainty. One would have thought that the German auto industry would have pioneered the electric market because if anyone has the infrastructure to do it, it's them. But disappointingly so, that's not the case. We need to see the bigger picture and appreciate every company that helps make this happen.

The main reason electric-powered vehicles accelerate faster than combustion engine vehicles is that EV’s have continuous torque at any speed. Combustion engines have a torque curve with an optimum at one particular engine rpm, plus their torque is particularly low at very slow speeds (e.g. accelerating from standstill).

The petrochemical mineral oil is much better for building carbon fibers, epoxy bonding chemicals, polymers, adhesives, binders, coating, paint, lubricant, etc : that to make fuel to burn in vehicles. Even the batteries make use of petrochemicals. 1 barrel of oil can be turned into $700 worth of petrochemiclas vs only a fraction of that value as a fuel. The petroleum industry could make more money selling high performance chemically engineering products made from oil, many of which can be repeatedly recycled (think Plastics)

First of all it is obvious it is a paid ad, highlightned by the first sentence where you say that this is a Tesla's competition. How can a concept car be a competition to a production cars that are 10 years in production?

Okan Demir Baykal
Okan Demir Baykal

Honestly, when this comes out, if there are no chronical issues with it I would probably rank it higher than the Tesla Model X. That's competition, but not in a market-share-competition way. They have to first get the car fully working (2017 self driving "demo" on stage of CES) and start mass production to have any competition in the market ground.

JerryRigEverything I’m from Brazil and I’m a great fan of yours. Would you mind to answer me 3 (three) little questions, as you’re the only one I would trust to answer me this type of questions? If yes, then: Question #2) Let’s suppose I have a brand-new Galaxy S8+ with a newly installed glass screen protector of medium quality that covers almost all of the screen: as a meticulous person, I’ve came to realize that, right after the installation of the screen protector, a tiny "detail" near the "Recents" on-screen button at the navigation bar emerged. Important to note: the installation was performed by a skilled professional who managed to use only his bare hands to perform the installation. How can I recognize if the tiny detail is a scratch on the screen, a scratch on the glass screen protector or maybe some dust between the screen protector and the screen? Is there a way to identify it without taking off the glass screen protector? How hard is for a nail to scratch a Gorilla Glass 5 screen like the one found on S8+, during the installation of a medium-low quality glass screen protector, if it only gets scratched from level 6 (MOHS) and beyond? Question #3: I’ve heard from you and other tech people that there’s some kind of "oleophobic coat" that sometimes gets scratched along the way, which means that when a little scratch emerges, it could be from this "oleophobic coat", instead of being from the screen itself. That said, let’s suppose I have a phone with a little scratch on the oleophobic coat: how can I restore it? Thanks in advance! Your fan, A.V.
