In this video we'll be making a sweet-looking PC case from scratch, using cheap materials & basic hand tools! Also available in kit form! diyperks.com/product/custom_pc_case_kit/?currency=USD
Have access to a CNC already? You can purchase the source SVG files here: sellfy.com/p/4GO3/ (free PDF template for hand tools also available)
Many thanks to Reichelt for sending me the components used in this build. Check out their website at: www.reichelt.co.uk They have some great deals, so are definitely worth checking out (esp. their prices on computer components!).
Here's a link to that awesome glowing EL Wire: amzn.to/2mJKJDQ
And the awesome FLIR ONE thermal camera: amzn.to/2nThQFr
Thanks to Overclockers UK for the sweet Super Flower PSU: www.overclockers.co.uk/super-flower-golden-silent-500w-fanless-80-plus-platinum-power-supply-black-ca-000-sf.html
Here are the templates that you'll need to cut out the panels, if you don't want to use the kit version: bit.ly/2nB2cm0
Components used in the final build:
    Motherboard: amzn.to/2nT1zQP
    Processor: amzn.to/2nTc46z
    RAM: amzn.to/2nb57AF

Hey everyone, just letting you know that I've put the source SVG files up for purchase too, for if you have access to a CNC. Here's the link: https://sellfy.com/p/4GO3/ The free PDF version for hand tools is still available, and always will be. Just thought the SVG file would be useful for those who want to recreate it with their own router.

not bad at all, rotate drive location by 90 degree in any direction and add the holes for these ( https://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Hot-swap-SATA-Connector-CP05-SAS/dp/B008VQ2Y5Y ) into it and it will be perfect!!!!! EDIT:::: After fully watching the video, omfg cuzzy brus you get a SUB, i need not say more!!!!!

@Diam0ndGames Probably not. A micro-atx motherboard is significantly larger than a mini-ITX motherboard at this scale.

So many old 775 boards and even the AWESOME X58 get tossed because people don't like the way they look and they are still so functional with usually just an SSD and GPU (Cheap GPU, GTS 450 even is fine) and with cases like these, they would be LOVED and work for a long time! A shame! I would LOVE to see you save some older x58 and even 775 boards like Tech Yes City and ModsTek does... People just DUNNO!

I’m planning an eventual custom build that involves putting the components inside a cabinet that will be shared with an air conditioner inside an RV trailer. When it’s cold outside it will be vented to outside air and when it’s hot and the AC is running, the cool air will have to pass through the computer box before it reaches the room.

Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else needs to find out about how to repair the computer try Saankramer Electronic Magazine System (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.

Im not sure why anyone would down vote this video. I frequently have to design computers that fit into very tight spaces in industrial environments and I still found this video valuable. Great production quality, clearly spoken and tons of resources provided. One of the best videos for DIY projects I have watched. Thank you for this video.

Hi. I have a Dell optiplex 790mt tower with 32GB of ram, intel i7-2600, 4GB graphics card and 2hdd's and I would like to do a "full transplant" to a better case but the newer cases have some connectors that are incompatible to my Dell motherboard(connectors will not be problematic as I've seen the adaptors I need for the fans) but as I want to put a water cooler in that CPU and I can't find one of 80mm closed circuit (other than if I do it myself but quite expensive), I was thinking of doing something like a custom case of acrylic so I could throw inside a prebuild 240mm water cooler but I would like to get some ideas from someone more inside of things. I was also thinking of using something like the EL Wire that you used to light up the system. Hopefully I was not annoying with my ideas but I would like a expert advice as I'm a complete noob in this as this was just a idea that I had for a while as I had a different graphics card that I wanted to put inside and as I didn't had enough space I had to get back and let that computer sitting until I had one that could fit

Hi Matt, thanks for the video. I would like to try to build my mini itx PC. However, it is very difficult to find the screws set and the on/off button in Germany. On the Reichelt website, I can only find the M3 motherboard pillars.

this is something ive been wanting to do for a while! i have way too many spare parts from building PCs and i wanted to create a media center that would fit under my tv but nobody makes an mATX form case in the configuration i need to make that happen and have it look sleek and non-gamery, i played around with the idea of making my own but had no idea where to start or what materials would be cheapest/easiest to work with/look the best and this seems like a pretty straight forward project. My first attempt was a mess since i tried using acrylic...not such a good idea when all you have is a cordless drill, jig saw and no prior experience working with it, im really good at making abstract art with it though, i call it "melting point"

Hi great quality video as usual - no annoying side chat - Some hints/advice about making your own cases/frames/furniture 1).for wood use the semi-permanent type fixings called furniture nuts. 2).for metal use rivnuts. 3).To reduce noise in metal cases put 0.25mm silicone sheet between pieces then vibration doesn't get tansferred makes a massive difference when using aluminium or thin metals. 4), Custom builders for filters just search for fine wire mesh on ebay copper brass stainless steel or black/white/assorted colours and magnetic tape then you can make your own "Decimfilter" for peanuts. They are f-ing good filters but so F-ing expensive bought 2 sets in a clearance sale from overclockers.co.uk for a few quid each and they are awesome and so easy to clean - either use vacuum cleaner with brush attachments or just wipe with baby wipes - after 2 years of use computer internals still look new/ Love this Carbon wrap ! Now available in loads of colours especially carbon look blck white red green silver blue etc etc Will be doing a 3/4 fridge freezer with the black carbon 4d type as now so cheap Just look for this ebay shop - Vehicle Wrap Store . Unsure about putting links on but easy to find the shop. Nothing to do with me just good prices and delivered safe in a strong cardboard tube Happy modding/building
