In this video we'll be making a sweet-looking PC case from scratch, using cheap materials & basic hand tools! Also available in kit form! diyperks.com/product/custom_pc_case_kit/?currency=USD
Have access to a CNC already? You can purchase the source SVG files here: sellfy.com/p/4GO3/ (free PDF template for hand tools also available)
Many thanks to Reichelt for sending me the components used in this build. Check out their website at: www.reichelt.co.uk They have some great deals, so are definitely worth checking out (esp. their prices on computer components!).
Here's a link to that awesome glowing EL Wire: amzn.to/2mJKJDQ
And the awesome FLIR ONE thermal camera: amzn.to/2nThQFr
Thanks to Overclockers UK for the sweet Super Flower PSU: www.overclockers.co.uk/super-flower-golden-silent-500w-fanless-80-plus-platinum-power-supply-black-ca-000-sf.html
Here are the templates that you'll need to cut out the panels, if you don't want to use the kit version: bit.ly/2nB2cm0
Components used in the final build:
    Motherboard: amzn.to/2nT1zQP
    Processor: amzn.to/2nTc46z
    RAM: amzn.to/2nb57AF
    M.2 SSD: amzn.to/2mJZpT6
    Processor cooler: amzn.to/2mFZoie

Hey everyone, just letting you know that I've put the source SVG files up for purchase too, for if you have access to a CNC. Here's the link: https://sellfy.com/p/4GO3/ The free PDF version for hand tools is still available, and always will be. Just thought the SVG file would be useful for those who want to recreate it with their own router.

Subbed because you inspired me to build my own case. I'm thinking polycarbonate but mdf would be cheaper and probably easier to work with as well.

Hi Matt, thanks for your great DIY videos. Inspired by this video, I built my own mini-itx PC and its case from my old shoebox. Check my project in https://youtu.be/FyVzXdaF1o4. The video is not so professionally made like yours :). Maybe you can give a feedback.

I'd cut out a little intake channel on the front bottom edge, it would allow air to flow over the motherboard helping overall cooling. Also, dust filters are a must. Wonderful build, though, I like the use of the EL wire. :)

A. this is obviously just a promotion to get you to buy his product and do something with his free computer and B. on a more important note this is a sealed wooden box which is a fire hazard as the hot components can cause combustion, and the thermals must be a nightmare with only a few openings in the back to allow some passive cooling. so if your going to do this you will probably have better results having the motherboard in open air (along with saving time and money on a poorly designed case.)

The interior components come to roughly $1750 without the psu. If you have that kind of money to throw at components, what is another 150 for a well made case? I love the end result and may do a scaled-up version, but not everyone can afford an itx build. I am by no means bashing this video, it's a great build. Just not wallet friendly.

So many old 775 boards and even the AWESOME X58 get tossed because people don't like the way they look and they are still so functional with usually just an SSD and GPU (Cheap GPU, GTS 450 even is fine) and with cases like these, they would be LOVED and work for a long time! A shame! I would LOVE to see you save some older x58 and even 775 boards like Tech Yes City and ModsTek does... People just DUNNO!

I’m planning an eventual custom build that involves putting the components inside a cabinet that will be shared with an air conditioner inside an RV trailer. When it’s cold outside it will be vented to outside air and when it’s hot and the AC is running, the cool air will have to pass through the computer box before it reaches the room.

Im not sure why anyone would down vote this video. I frequently have to design computers that fit into very tight spaces in industrial environments and I still found this video valuable. Great production quality, clearly spoken and tons of resources provided. One of the best videos for DIY projects I have watched. Thank you for this video.

Hi. I have a Dell optiplex 790mt tower with 32GB of ram, intel i7-2600, 4GB graphics card and 2hdd's and I would like to do a "full transplant" to a better case but the newer cases have some connectors that are incompatible to my Dell motherboard(connectors will not be problematic as I've seen the adaptors I need for the fans) but as I want to put a water cooler in that CPU and I can't find one of 80mm closed circuit (other than if I do it myself but quite expensive), I was thinking of doing something like a custom case of acrylic so I could throw inside a prebuild 240mm water cooler but I would like to get some ideas from someone more inside of things. I was also thinking of using something like the EL Wire that you used to light up the system. Hopefully I was not annoying with my ideas but I would like a expert advice as I'm a complete noob in this as this was just a idea that I had for a while as I had a different graphics card that I wanted to put inside and as I didn't had enough space I had to get back and let that computer sitting until I had one that could fit
