1000w equiv. Watercooled LED (DIY SUN BLASTER 2.0)

In this video we'll be making an insanely bright water-cooled LED light that looks remarkably similar to sunlight!
This is because it uses a high quality LED from Yuji which as a high colour rendering index (CRI). Since its completion this project has been used to light every single one of my videos! It's just that good!

Someone should start making projectors with LED light sources. Not only would it allow a much brighter picture, it could do so while using less power, producing much less heat, needing much less cooling, and therefore being a much quieter projector. As if this wasn't enough the "lamp" would last as long as the projector itself, and unlike bulbs neither lose brightness or experience color-shifts. I have already been waiting years for LED-based projectors to come to market, but the manufacturers are incredibly slow to do so. Apart from cost (which can't be that bad; after all this brighter-than-required LED is $170 to the consumer, buying a single one - an expensive part, to be sure, but the bulbs they use today aren't cheap either and are much less suited to the task, as far as I can understand).

Man, you should get a clamp meter. They're super useful, I've got one that can measure both DC and AC current just fine. The only difference is that on DC mode, the clamp meter will need to be zero'd out before starting it up.

Nice, and that one is only 68 lumens per Watt. Imagine the incredible battery life you could achieve by using one of the 171 lumen/Watt Cree XP-G LEDs. It would be 17,100 lumens! (as opposed to the current 6,800 lumens)

Like this a lot. I have a Water cooler which I don't use, (too noisy), which will be ideal for this. Quick check of the two recommended 100W LEDs shows the better one is $130 while the lesser is almost $6. The cheaper one sounds just fine.

What's the most powerful led torch you think you could make with a precise zoom point I'm impressed with the tiny xml t6 type torches hand sized could you make a mega bright say about 120mm -200mm long and hand grippable diameter with your know how and all these new lithium ion batteries I think you could make an excellent flashlight for search lights hunting etc and give companies a run for their money and maybe market your product. You should be earning something for all your efforts love your gadgets always been a bit of flashlight geek my latest 30'000 and 40'000 lumen torches are great but I think you could blow those away I'd love to see what you could come up with keep the ideas coming thanks

Hello, i have some confusion, when you remove the poteniometer from the CC driver are you removing and replacing the CC o the CV pot? . and when you calibrate the amperage are you doing it via the CC or the CV? I am attempting to make a 100W RGb LED and as the volt needed changes I am jsut wondering what you are dimming with Voltage or current.
