It looks like from some of the videos that your outboard could use to be a little deeper in the water for better performance. I have used a few of their products and been happy with them and they are not that expensive. www.baymfg.com

what happened to your vimeo page? I bought the entire series over a month ago and you've only released one video in the last 6 weeks there. the page also says that the on demand series is no longer for sale, will you be releasing anymore videos on that series and will i have access to it? i already bought the entire series back in september before things changed with you and robb but only 1 exclusive video has come out :(

i see that you have a new on demand page on vimeo and that's great! Back on September 23 i believe, i purchased the entire on demand series for $80.63 CAD and then things fell out between you and Robb. I understand you have had a hard time but if you aren't creating more content for the page that i paid like i expected, could i have access to the new on demand page? if not, then i understand, but i will have to file for a refund through paypal because i purchased the series with good intent that new exclusive content would be made available on that page weekly. Thank you for your time Aubrey, cheers.

I've watched many USfilms vids produced by willing couples, friends etc and the question of privacy issues and who actually (legally) owns the video property and associated copyright and/or privacy issues has often had me wondering how it will turn out if things go wrong with the parties involved. It would be interesting to get a legal perspective on the topic.

when you bring her down from Maine make sure to stop in Beafort NC. Amazing place to visit very inexpensive. They have many nice shops for the wife to visit and also a free museum that houses Blackbeard's ship and other stuff raised from his wreck. We visit there often and love it.

You both are fun and entertaining and I really enjoy the family dynamic on a boat. I like that you're honest and real about how your lifestyle is and I can't see how anyone wouldn't be jealous even if the boat smells like farts and cat shit some times. I'm subscribed because you're entertaining but mostly because you've talked about moving from power to sail. I'll hang on and watch so long as the goal is to sail because I think if your story to date had some wind in its sails there's no telling how amazing it could be.

Wow, Envy for all of you, letting it all go, fairly new relationship, etc... I have a lot of questions about you undertaking. I will start with the boat. I am sure that you hear that you have the wrong boat for this. What is your future with a boat. Sailboat, trawler, or keeping what you have?

Sailing Miss Lone Star
Sailing Miss Lone Star

Wow, you have a lot of experience with different boats. We looked at the trawler option but so much is so expensive. A friend's yen set went out and that was $12k. Ugh. Our boat repairs have sure added up, that's for sure. We are hoping to get into a sail boat that is about 10 years old and well cared for. We'll see how that goes. Your right, kids are out of the house faster than you can imagine! I'm sure you will find open water again! Talk soon!

Have a Hunter 260 sailboat for the lake here in East Tennessee. Been here 17 years moved here because of the wife's family. Before that, I lived in Daytona Beach since I got out of school. Had several boats there. the largest was a 32' Trojan yacht with twin inboards. Mostly offshore fishing with friends. Our daughter is 15 and no way would she want to spend a long time with us at sea. However she will be in college before you know it, and we will hopefully have health and freedom to do some cruising. I am thinking trawler. The thought of 10k to rig and 20k for sails on a large sailboat pushes me away. I think maybe fuel costs would not be so bad. Still have time to consider. Love your journey and will stay tuned.

Sailing Miss Lone Star
Sailing Miss Lone Star

+Rick Hoskins Thanks for watching! It was a brave decision for us all but the right one. Definitely know about the wrong boat thing. It was what we had and we are glad we didn't wait until we had the perfect vessel. We plan to use it for the cruising season starting in December and take her about 900 miles through Cuba, Bahamas and maybe DR and back to Key West. We hope to sell her and trade up for a 45' mono hull sail boat. We looked at trawlers but I think we need to be self-sufficient and sustainable for our future plans. We are hoping to eventually sail around the world a few times. Do you own a boat? Have you done long passages?
